Toped the climb out of Kettering by the site of Glendon East box at 10.17 (17 late),going about 25 mph ,no push by diesel. I've seen a coal train going better.10.00 Kettering to Corby ,train from St Pancras ,terminated at Kettering ,due to late running FS .Corby passengers to and from taken by taxi. More expense.

I was tempted to get up to Rutland to film in that area. The Viaduct itself is an awkward beast to video, difficult to find a spot to appreciate its sheer size in any detail, I would have been tempted to hone into the climb into Wing tunnel, but with the threat of trespassing (everyone and his wife was talking about going there) along with what promised to be not ideal visibility and light, I snatched a couple of extra hours in Bed (even so an early start) to catch it much further south at Elstree & Boreham Wood. Had to use the on board camera mic, due to severe OHLE interference, but the wind died at the right moment.

The well-behaved folks of Corby were out in force to see FS next to the (newish) Southern by-pass north of Barford Bridge which became one big car park

Sounds a bit like the 'Lady Diana' mass hysteria factor.....

Not sure you would get so excited about a loco without a proper copper cap to the chimney........

Very large turnout earlier at Harrowden Junction including large numbers of young families. Didn't notice any trespass.

Because these are quite probably people who don't travel umpteen miles to see a steam loco but have turned out to see 60103 go through their immediate locality.

According to OTT it was on time at Sharnbrook but overstayed it's water stop at Kettering to the tune of 21 minutes. Regained a few minutes by Melton Mowbray but has dropped more time since and was 52 late through Loughborough.

Plenty of learning still needed then. Don't worry, there are many better than I on here who will enlighten you. :)

You can't hide ancient shoddy design with a bit of bling.

I like this Jeff, much better than the garbage I got at Seaton. The Scot was tame off the Viaduct and even tamer when it clocked the trespassers almost in the 4 foot and the 47 on the back was clagging well ! Should of gone for Tornado.

I was tempted to do that foot crossing as well, but again figured it would be patrolled, and judging by the tango men, so it proved. Tho it looks like a couple of photters got into the centre divide, Nice sound track.

Must have been well over a hundred at Alfreton, cars parked everywhere. Staff and a BT officer kept everyone off the platform, but didn't mind people climbing up from the car park and hanging over the platform fence, indeed they kept us informed.

People of Kettering as well thank you very much! The line of cars was at least twice as long as you can see in that photo.
