Looks like this person has been completing a survey very rapidly of what all the others affected think, I assume they are using the same survey company that certain posters use on here when they inform us with complete certainty that their views are held by hundreds of other people :D?

Can the timings for light engine moves be published on here or are they also covered by the Steam Dreams Super Injunction ;)?

According to a ruling from the Supreme Court (yesterday) details may be provided in Scotland, America & most other parts of the world, but not England or Wales.

Given that one of the participants was "uncoupled" after a poor performance it would seem that talk of a threesome was somewhat inaccurate. It just shows that outings publicised in the popular press may not always appear what they seem.

Injectors are very simple, The most common fault in steam days was a piece of rag ,or in those days cotton waste, rapping its self round the out let filter in the tank /tender. Not sure what type of injectors the A3 s had ,but the most simple injectors were difficult to take up/put on, if the water in the tank got warm. There was in case a few years ago ,I forget where and when ,but the loco went to a local factory , where hot water was available to fill up ,and some -one thinking they were being helpful filled the tank up with hot water .The loco when it returned to it train was declared a total failure.

I remember reading that story, somewhere in the Hull area comes to mind. How they managed to get that quantity of hot water I don't know.. the cost of heating it must have been considerable

I am afraid there were a lot of negative comments both on Twitter and Faceache from the passengers but I didn't have time to go through and copy and paste them all. These were just the top two on the Twitter feed for the search of #FlyingScotsman.
It's disappointing for SD as many of the passengers were travelling with them for the first time so it wasn't a great first impression. But what could they do about the failure? What does annoy me a little though is their rather poor refund system. It's happened to me a few times and it does feel bad that having paid so much you get very little back.
There must have been a lot of complaints on the train about the compensation to ticket holders as the SD site was later updated and now has a note on the timings page saying that passengers will be contacted about compensation.

Anyway enough of that, anyone know if she is on her way to Nodnol* (*coded language. Fans of Red Dwarf will know what I mean?) or not?

The problem is that this tour had a premium premium price for the FS, but the standard refund policy. Its should have had a premium premium refund policy.

As far a Nodnol is concerned we probably wont really know till star date 1630 if we are on impulse or warp power.

I believe it was condensate from a generator turbine, normally recycled to their boiler via pump.
