Well that is what I would want for the passengers on board who paid good money to travel behind steam.

As Ian Cawthorne has mentioned, folk may recall that there was a relatively long-standing TSR at Eden Brows a couple of years ago. I was on-board one of the WCMEs that year, and the slew of the track towards the river at the location photographed was scary. Despite the remedial work, it would seem that the embankment is still on the move. A real headache to put it mildly - not least because of its high degree of inaccessibility.

Furthermore... I'm not sure whether further work is required south of Armathwaite also (where there was a landslip in December) - there seemed to be some Network Rail vans there last Saturday.

Tomorrow will mark 60103's first run up Shap since 26 October 1968 when it worked the Moorlands railtour. I'm not sure it's ever been over more than once previously unless anyone can confirm?

Customers boarding at Langwathby, Lazonby and Armathwaite should use the Carlisle bound platform for trains to all destinations.
That's quite a few miles of single line working, I hope the revised time table works..
