Lune Rivers Trust 3/10

What I presume is the Lune Rivers Trust Special is showing in RTT, but rather than a straightforward Carnforth - Hellifield - York routing, it is going via Blackburn and Copy Pit, which means a reversal in Blackburn, implying top-and-tailing with a diesel. I would assume that the steam section will be Blackburn - York and return, but does anybody know for sure?

Time are on UK Steam also, strange routing with the reversal at Blackburn, at least we get steam over Copy Pit, both ways in daylight.

 

Could it also be steam on the rear from Carnforth (thus being forward from Blackburn) and similarly retained on the rear from Blackburn to Carnforth thus being operated with steam on one end and diesel on t'other ?

 

I know its still a bit early, but does anyone know whats planned to be on this? Theres also a Cleethorpes - Carlisle tour but no times for that yet

 

Read elsewhere the Cleethorpes job is cancelled.

The RYTC tour from Cleethorpes to Morpeth is shown as cancelled but WC are still listing a Cleethorpes - Carlisle trip on their website.

 

Possibly 2 steam on the rear of the Lune train then, dropping one at Hellifield ready for the Cleethorpes arrival?

I'd been wondering if Leander would have moved from Barrow Hill to Cleethorpes for the WC job, but sounds like it's gone back to Carnforth now.

Plans may have changed but was to be something green.

 

46115 seems to be the traditional loco for the Lune Rivers, so that fits.

 

If photographing the Lunes train at Copy Pit the Cleethorpes is out on the S&C, times clash.
There is also an "honorary" steam trip over the S&C, a Deltic hauled trip early in the afternoon.

 

If I recall correctly, is the climb up Copy Pit (usually associated with photographers) in the Hebden Bridge to Blackburn direction, so would be tackled during the evening return?

 

Not Tangmere by any chance as currently heading up WCML back to Carnforth??Guessing for maintenance and not to make Saturdays tour more entertaining

 

Usual Copy Pit shot is the return evening one, but there are several good morning east bound locations also, near Cliviger.
