I thought it might be a good idea to start a separate thread for this event as it looks like it will be a very popular topic next week.
I am attending this event with my Dad and some friends from work. Also found out at the weekend that some other friends are also attending. How many folks from this forum will be attending I wonder?

Please note that this has been put on the main website for this event:

PLEASE NOTE: In the event of a poor weather forecast for the 15th September the 14th September will be used as a contingency. This decision will be made at 6pm on Sunday 13th September. Please check this website for further details, and/or the link below and /or the
    Boultbee Flight Academy Twitter page.

    I'm going with a mate.

Currently debating what time to set off. as we've got to get round the western section of the M25..........

I hope the weather behaves, as I can't make the 14th at the mo......... though the long range forecast suggests it will............. :Nailbiting:

I'd rather it was put back a day than brought forward. But that's simply because I'm in Sweden from Friday to Monday!

Judging by your description I'd say they were a pair of Spitfires :D As far as I know they are not BBMF ones according to the flying schedule but apart from that can't help more I'm afraid.

The forecast changes every five minutes and also varies between websites so no point in worrying about it too much at the moment as it will probably change a few more times yet.

Err, I've just checked various weather channels, and the consensus seems to be wet Tuesday afternoon, so fingers crossed Tuesday is go :Nailbiting:.......................... as Monday doesn't look good - nor do Weds, Thurs or Fri!

I've already had words with my mate & warned him it might not happen,

Where did you hear this? Latest I heard (about 5 mins ago) was that they would be putting the decision on the Website at 19.30 tonight.

Maybe there should be a Nat Pres meeting point, judging by the number of members going.....

Me and a mate hired the Goodwood circuit twice back in the 1980's for mad TVR Car Club meetings where members could try their luck on the circuit. On one of the days, a young driver called Senna was there and we were asked if we could stop out nutters for 30 mins to let him have a go (he was with West Surrey Racing before going to F1)....some photos somewhere in the garage. Amazing talent and something to remember.
