Pre TOPS Locos in the 1960 & 70's : Type 3

    I have now started adding the Pre TOPS Type 3 locomotives, the first collection is the Birmingham Railway Carriage and Wagon Company (BRCW) Type 3
    i have added them in collections of the year they were built between 1960 & 1963
    This first collection is of the 1960 built locos D6500-D6537
    Over 90% of the photos are from the 1960’s taken by Nigel Kendall
    This first photo is rather unusual in that it shows D6506 and 2 BR Standards running tender to tender at New Milton 1967

    My reason for dissenting was that I couldn't recall such an empty space to the north of the station but recalled a similar space at Basingstoke at the eastern end. In fairness the head code [55] is allotted to Reading - Tonbridge traffic which - in fairness - supports your suggestion.

    1962 built batch in the 1960's. Majority of the photos are by Nigel Kendall
