    Unfortunately I was off school, recovering from an op! :)
    So I managed to see KGV in action at West Ruislip and Hayes & Harlington, and a visit to Kensington Olympia during the stopover.

    Just worked it out, off the end of (old) platform 4 with the shadow of Reading Bridge House in the left background.
    The silver "chimney" was, I think, near the old power signal box.
    I won't mention the people off the platforms!

    I was taken the Newport to see both the superior engine 6000, and the inferior engine 4472 leave the station with the train with a party from school. Somewhere I still have the platform ticket from that day.
