...and I believe they hope to have 'Witherslack Hall' returned to service, but I think it will be a close call.

Are full WTT made available before the event, or do you have to collect one on the day?

How late does the Twilight show normally run until?

Full Passenger timetables are usually available online about 10 days prior, The Twilight Show was all over with at approx. 18.00hrs last year. Freight times are in the full timetable given away with tickets purchased at booking offices.

Is it just me, or is the big photo of 7820 on the poster the one from her wiki page? Only the wiki photo is actually mine... I'm well aware I can't have been the only person to have taken that shot, but as far as I can see it's just been cropped a little. If it is, whoever did the poster - thanks! :)

The 8F as it now looks. I had a busy day 'weathering' it yesterday!

So 48624 isn't actually black? It just appears to be because of the weathering?

That's correct. As advertised on the GCR event page 'temporary weathered black livery'. So it will be back in red as soon as anything (sooner if there's heavy rain!)

That could make for an interesting photo - weathered black with streaks of red showing through!

Apologises if I'm been thick here, but I've taken a look at the timetable for the Saturday.

92214 doesn't leave Loughborough all day and leaves Rothley Brook at at 12.43.

Is this because this is a passenger timetable and its working goods trains or something?

Yep, I'm pretty sure that the timetables on the website are for the passenger trains only.

I was also surprised to see that they are firing up 70013 Oliver Cromwell on the Friday for just one working to Rothley and back.

However, there are lots of other workings including the freights, TPO drops, minerals and LE movements which are detailed in the full working timetable, so presumably 92214 and 70013 are employed in some of those runs.

I think you can buy the full WTT in advance, and it may be included in the runabout daily ticket.

Thanks for clarifying "temporary weathered black". Unfortunately I thought there was a temporary repaint involved. Knowing this has saved me a lot of time, effort and money as I won't be attending now. I think GCR event page is misleading.

Blimey! The GCR website does advertise 48624 being "in BR weathered black condition" ..and looking at the photos previously in the thread it certainly appears to be looking that way. I'm not sure how misleading that is.

However, you can't please all the people all the time, and there are some people you simply cannot please at all. I'm sure all the hard-working staff and volunteers at the GCR will be devastated by your non-attendance.
