I'll echo the thoughts of Bryan and GreenFive in feeling a bit sad it's all over and once again pass my thanks to everyone involved. I really didn't want to leave Corfe Castle to get the bus back to Wareham, as there was still so much I wanted to...

Thanks to everyone who has uploaded some superb photos and videos of this event on to this thread. I must admit that I was not really too fussed about photography at this event. I just wanted to take in the unique experience of having so many...

One of my objectives for the gala, which must have been shared with others, was to get as many Bulleids in shot at one time as I could. I managed to get four twice. I've not had time to check the timetable in detail, but I think that five could...

A rather busy weekend last Saturday and Sunday. I spent it on 828 on the Saturday and it gave me the opportunity to let the Fireman drive all day and the Cleaner fire. Something very positive and a joy to watch was the Cleaner who had his Passed...

I think a lot of their work is oil industry related, but I think I read that their MD/someone in higher management is a rail enthusiast, so maybe they're effectively subsidising the projects by providing storage space at a reduced (nil?) cost to...

Don't know very much about the project, but I merely read that a suggesting that CTL is the preferred place to erect the frames, not necessarily to provide a long term home? Many of these projects seem to move around all the time, the 47xx has...

I imagine that virtually all of the track is BR and GWR - there are definately many chairs stamped GWR. Doesn't mean to say that it hasn't been relaid, packed, tamped, ballast cleaned and renewed, rails turned, sleepers replaced etc.

Somewhat of a "cheat" but the visit of a Totton based MPV on weedkiller duties this morning meant they had to empty the sidings. So there are 5 in this image, although only one is in steam.[ATTACH]

That gets discussed too. Though it must be said that for a railway that set itself the goal of extending and hasn’t, achievement of late has been thin. There are plenty of other places which will provide you with the sugar coated glossy picture...

The flailing stuff I'm sure does cause concern, I have seen videos of people flapping about with a significant portion of their upper body out of the window. As mentioned it's quite difficult to separate those who can make responsible decisions...
