    Yes I am an active volunteer
    Wouldn’t call it a rumour as such - I overheard a member of the support crew on the support Coach talking to a fellow enthusiast in the yard about the situation as 35018 retreated. Took the opportunity to inform the community.

    Quite likely. I guess the reference to ECS just means loco + POB, as I don't think West Coast have any other coaches at York at present. The trailing load of 715 tonnes is presumably another of those RTT quirks, to generate the desired maximum speed.
