We made our first visit to Statfold Barn today. It's an amazing operation, and I was almost overwhelmed by the constant action in all directions. I counted 16 locos in steam and operating, plus a diesel railcar and an electric tram and a dozen or so steam road vehicles.

A similar number of steam locos were on display, some fully restored, some as received, but almost all well displayed with good light for photography. Also on display were a large number of diesel and battery locos.

Everything has been beautifully done at Statfold, with a fine main station, trackside walks and viewing platforms, spotless toilets and nice carriages and rolling stock.

I can normally find SOMETHING to criticise, but Statfold has beaten me.

    Thank you!

The old girl looks good, she has cylinder covers now! I really have to go visit this railway!

Everyone should. It's narrow gauge heaven.

Great railway. Not been for a few years, it shows What happens when you put a railway in a field rather than a heritage line, no limitations.

Yet another great day at Statfold yesterday, thanks to everybody who makes these events happen. Might I just mention the effort put into the infrastructure around the railway which all adds to the atmosphere.
