    Hi everybody

Just wanted to know what are people's opinions on railway focused youtube video lengths. Years ago there was a 10min limit which was removed and very rarely now do I see a railway video of under this. Most people seem to have 20min videos, some the best part of an hour.

I personally haven't got hours upon hours trawling through videos and so I don't get around to watching a lot of them because the time is off putting.

I would like to hear responses from people who watch videos and also people who make videos of all different lengths and the reasons behind them.

I'd also like to know if people prefer watching part 1,2,3, maybe because it's easier to catch up on, or if they don't mind seeing one video of a long length. I do prefer shorter videos in parts to one feature length.

This is just for fun, won't be making a difference to how I do my videos nor will the data be used in a uni dissertation or the like!

Based on 4 years and over 600 railway youtube vids, and with the aid of google analytics, the most watched sweet spot is two minutes max.

It's not the length that matters so much as the quality. An image that dances all over the show through lack of a tripod and significant wind noise through lack of a muffler are both big turn offs in my book.
