We seem to be missing a thread covering this event so here goes. I have no additional information to provide other than that which is already known.

Gleaned from the Railway's official web site:-

Theme, "Great Western routes and branches".

    Home locomotives 7822 and 6960.

    Visiting locomotive S160 6046.

I also understand that the now well publicised on-train QB breakfasts will be available from "QB chef" on all 4 days.

If official sources have more details I am sure that we would like to know about it.

    Andy.

I've read that the pannier tank no. 7714 is coming to the gala. She only missed the autumn gala in 2017, at the last minute, due to mechanical problems. So, I've booked my accommodation!

Has anyone said they aren't? I suppose the emphasis is likely to be on GWR locos.

Might be something to do with the theme ,though a 7f with a copper topped chimney would be different ....

Glad to see that the WSR Spring Gala is back to March this year, April in Somerset is very nice but coming down in March gives me a vision of Spring a couple of weeks before it reaches the still-frozen Tundra of Cheshire.

Definitely looking forward to seeing the Military train as well. Can't wait.

I have only seen Foxcote Manor advertised. What's the other one? It's not Odney Manor as it won't be back in service until much later this year.

I see 7F 53808 has now appeared on the WSR Gala page as one of the home fleet locos.

Surely, that’s got to be a mistake. How can you have a GWR themed gala with SDJR loco.?

Wonder what the mystery guest is..
