First contact them best by email to register so they will be able to confirm your rights and be best to bring any share certificate.

Second they do breakfast https://www.oakemanor.com/restaurant-bar-menus/ also there is a lunch menu which will be sent to you apply to attend.

Third the meeting should be from 11 o'clock to 13:30 o'clock.

Forth there is plenty of parking spaces, but the postcode might send you to the old back entrance from when it was a farm so, come off the Bradford to Oake road. https://www.google.co.uk/maps/@51.0...4!1sCeR1Ev2Q2WztGdDroxLpTQ!2e0!7i13312!8i6656 (if a dry day I will be walking to it as it only a mile walk)

@Barrie the Beer. Thanks for taking the trouble to reply.

I think the questions I asked are reasonable because these are issues which are not covered in the Chairmans invitation and no reference is made on the official website.

I sent an e-mail to Karen Noble last week notifying her of my intention to attend the meeting but was reluctant to subsequently pester her with my queries when somebody on here could probably give the information and broadcast it to our larger audience.

Assuming you have first registered your interest and been assigned a place as directed in the letter, then finding the venue is easy.
Follow the A358 through Taunton towards Bishops Lydeard or follow the A3065 to its intersection with the A358.
Leave the A358 at the roundabout and follow the B3227 through Norton Fitzwarren for between 4-5 miles. Oake will be signposted to the left.
Those who's registration is accepted requiring lunch should book this through the WSR plc. This will also assist the Golf Club with catering and having the food ready at the end of the meeting so is only polite.

If you are coming form the M5 it is best to come off at J26 as this is a quicker than dragging through Taunton and, there are brown signs for the golf course just after the motorway before the first roundabout. Best also to use this way even if you are coming form the A303 A358 and join the M5 at J25. https://www.google.co.uk/maps/dir/5...65/@50.9932866,-3.1876169,8444m/data=!3m1!1e3

Yes, thanks, that's the way I always come unless taking the pretty ( Barnstable, Lynmouth, Porlock, Minehead) route from Cornwall. I think coming off the M5 at J25 is not a smart move.

If say I was attending the meeting, which I’m not.

I live in minehead, back in the 50s if I wish travel by train, would I have needed to change at Taunton or Norton Junction and got on the Taunton to Barnstaple line and disembark at Milverton.

Guess there weent any direct trains from minehead to Barnstaple

Any reason why it couldn’t go by rail?

    Thanks, Tom.

Same thought occurred to me but I didn't ask the question as I suspected that the reason was obvious!

Why isn't it being finished in Minehead?

Interesting, I don't think I've ever see an engine and its tender loaded on the same trailer before.

I believe that it is to allow Minehead to concentrate on the winter maintenance and for Williton to be more involved with the overhauls. Separating running shed from works?

Is there anything you don’t know about Steve?

Anyway, interesting to see that locos can be got out of, and presumably into Minehead by road. For all the years that visiting locos have been transferred at BL.....

There's this video of Foremarke Hall being turned in the carpark at Toddington all in one, but my understanding is that this was only allowed because it wasn't going on any public roads:

I too was surprised 9351 wasn't being moved by rail, even a slow 5mph crawl if folk were a bit worried about its condition.
