It'll be busy in York on Saturday, I would have had a ride over but 2 steam tours, Christmas shoppers, etc. AND Victor will definitely not mix. Enjoy yourselves, York Christmas market is a must do job.

I decided that I might visit the NRM this Saturday. Then looked at UKSteam and well I definately will so I can see this tour (the last time I went to York 5043 also hauled a railtour for Railfest) and also hope to see 60009 for the first time (fully assembled anyway) as well as 60008 also for the first time.

Hows the route to York looking with the disruption today ?, doesn't look as bad as some area's, but that doesn't mean much.

Talk about a grab shot, I got to South Milford 15mins early and decided to have a pee (it's the excitement!), looked round and there was 5043 bearing down!

Managed to get my bag open and grab the camera with no time to check any settings and fire off a shot.

You can never trust Vintage Trains to run to time, they sneak up on you early.... Seems they caught quite a few with their pants down..

    Another great shot Stuart,

Awfully sorry for that! If they give us a green, we tend to go for it!

If TOC's get dinged for being late, do they get a credit for being early? I didn't think so! lol
