    SIR TOM - Resident Bagnall

    SAMSON - New build from and with thanks to Beamish

    DIANA - from Bala Lake and with kind thanks to her owner The loco has been recently overhauled at the Vale of Rheidol and is now based on the Bala Lake . Having spent her working life in the Pen yr Orsedd Slate Quarry in North Wales and last worked in 1950 she will be right at home back in a quarry environment. To see what she looks like Mike Taylor's superb shot on Flickr is well worth a look

    It is, I've been on the charter for the past three years but unfortunately can't go this year. If narrow gauge industrial steam in stunning scenery is your thing it's not to be missed. If it isn't go anyway and it then will be.

    Alpha will look superb at Threlkeld (image with thanks to Ellis Griffith Morey) and equally the rather lovely Diana

    We will also host a short session on Thursday evening as the loco's are steam tested . Excavator loading the skips arranged , hoping to have the steam shovel (rail mounted one) in operation as well
