The return working of the North Eastern Derby-Newcastle-Derby with 46233 seen here at Slittingmill Crossing near Staveley. Some fabulous evening light around the Chesterfield area tonight.

Thanks for posting - this one seems to have slipped by without too much attention? I've only seen one photo so far, & that was a silhouette shot of the afternoon departure from Durham, posted on FB, taken from the bottom of the bank & looking up towards the viaduct.

I didn't get out for the morning shot due to work but talking to other photographers that did there some were lucky with the light others like at Milford were not.Surprised to see no thread for this one so decided to start one with the return working. The light around 9.00.pm looking back when driving home was superb so anyone who took the risk to do the shot nearer to Belper would have got some lovely glint on the side of the Duchess.
Lovely wide shot Henry with lovely exhaust...thanks for your comment on my shot cheers Simon.

She certainly looks the part there, doesn't she? Another cracking shot. Thanks, Henry. I haven't seen any from that location before; how long before the bushes obscure it?
