Provisional times at t0606d.htm show this train is routed outward via Slough and Kensington Olympia, and return via Woking with a reversal at Willesden on the return. However the arrangements for the loco/ECS workings are not entirely clear. Is it still possible for a loco hauled train to run-round at Windsor ? If not then some steam/diesel top and tail working will be necessary in the London area.

Re: The Diamond Jubilee Express - Sat 6 June

6th June is a Wednesday and not a Saturday as the title suggests.

Hope to see this at Reading West (if I can park & weather permitting, chucking it down at the moment). 71000 has been a bit elusive of late.

Duke looked good at Parkstone this morning both on ECS down at 0711 and up again at 0810 - sounded very good but sorry to see only 8 coaches on. Hopefully the Bath and Bristol trip will load better on 20th - apologies for late update not been in position to update before

This is becoming too much of a common occurrence lately (re 70013 last week). Hope the appropriate penalties are being imposed.

My effort from Reading West, not the best & a bit dark in places. Shame about the Voyager half way through, lucky the Turbo at the end wasn't a few seconds sooner either.

Good one Buseng; at least the sune was out at Twyford !! Never ceases to surprise me the people who want to walk in front of cameras; they clearly know why everyone is there but......had the same at Twyford; the WHITE COAT man decides to go to platform edge when train passes. Chap next to me got QUITE uptight.

Does anyone know what the alternative route home is, please? A friend is hoping to see it on his way back from London this evening. TIA.

Nothing shown in the magic box as yet, a chum of mine spoke to NR Anglia this afternoon and they didn't have much of an idea about what was happening....

Re: 71000 - 'Diamond Jubilee Express' to Windsor & Eton (DBS) Wed 6/6 - TAN timings

Please note for those following the tour later in the day that the section
between Windsor and Willesden and back via Kew East and South Acton will be
diverted due to the line at Kew East being closed.

This is due to overunning engineering works from the weekend. The lines between
South Acton and Old Kew junction/New Kew Junction are not expected to open until
    tomorrow at the earliest.

Maybe they'll keep the diesel on and just reverse at Staines?
