Ever wondered what would happen if you let your railway loose to a group of volunteers aged 14-25? Well the Talyllyn Railway is doing just that on Saturday the 28th of August! Absolutely everything that can be done by volunteers will be from cleaning right through to Driving in the loco department from cleaning the brass on carriages to being the railways Controller for the day in the traffic! the Talyllyn has such a good Young members base that everyone is qualified to do this work, and we are not just providing the basic service but every steam engine that we can find lurking around Pendre we will hopefully be able to push them into service also throwing diesel shuttles out in to the mix as well so what are you waiting for? Come down and see if we cope!

    The details

Apart from the normal 5 train (Green Timetable) there will be:

4 footplate experience trains employing one of our steam engines from wharf to Brynglas! Ring Wharf now to claim your place 01654 710472

3 diesel shuttles from Wharf to Pendre or look round the works and back to wharf

And as many diesel driver for a fiver trips as we can squeeze into all that!!

    Cheers all

    Andy
