    Hi all,

Running dates for the Swedish Y7 Railcar, no 1212. have now been announced by the Nene Valley Railway.

For those who haven't seen the railcar online or at galas, it's completely unlike any British Railcar, sitting much lower than a Mark 1 coach. Access is gained through the driver's cabs, one of which has the engine in it. Subject to a fast track restoration in 2012, she was the winner of The Railcar Association’s first annual Railcar of the Year Award in 2012.

    The dates are:
    Jan 19th, and 26th,
    Feb 9th,
    March 9th and 23rd.

Tickets are a reduced low season fares of £13 with gift aid or £11.70 without.

    There's more information online at http://irps-wl.org.uk/restoration-proje ... ts/railbus

Edit: Apologies for the size of the image, I put it up for illustration, and can't work out how to reduce the size via the forum. Mods?

There'll be a drinks trolley. Not sure what it will have on it though. Im sure if you ask them nicely they may be able to russle up a few bottles of beer whilst stopped at Wansford!

It's about time they started stocking bottles of 92 Squadron Ale from the Buntingford Brewery. I'd ride up and down all day drinking that. :)

Eugh... The memories of aquavit from last year's midsommar party are still too fresh.
