Swanage Railway October Steam Gala!

    Swanage Railway have just posted onto their website, more details of the first October Steam gala taking place over the 17th - 19th October.

    Home Fleet in action will be: 6695, 30053, 31806 and 34070.
    Guest Locomotives will be: Met 1 and Ex WR pannier 1501.

    Expect the usual Evening services using guest locomotives and special London themed 'Pie and Mash' bistro dining train on Saturday 18th! Booking advised but if you can't get on it, enjoy the bar car and travel on the train! Book by calling 01929 475207...tickets for this evening dinner train are just £18 and there will be three new local ales to try!

    Expect 1501 to be nice and noisy on the Swanage Hills, looking forward to that :)

    80104 may yet make an appearance at the gala, but this is subject to its mid term overhaul being completed on time.

    Complete, full working timetable will be available for free very shortly online.

    Another date for your Xmas diary is the Winter Warm up on Saturday 27th December. Steam Locos in use will be 31806 and 30053 and 2 Diesels 33111 and D6515 complete with ETH train.
    Expect the Milk Tanker to be out attached to the steam sets and freight workings throughout the day.
