The Secretary of State for Transport has determined an order giving effect to proposals in accordance with the Transport and Works Act 1992. The Order is known as The Swanage Railway Order 2014 and comes into force on Thursday 26th June 2014.
The Swanage Light Railway Order 1987 and the Swanage Light Railway (Extension) Order 1993 may be cited together with the Swanage Railway Order 2014 as the Swanage Railway Orders 1987 to 2014. The orders together grant the Swanage Railway Company Ltd the rights to operate and use the railway for the carriage of passengers and goods between the buffer stops at Swanage station and a point in the parish of Arne 587 metres from the junction (Worgret Junction) with the Poole to Weymouth line of Network Rail.
