Events open to everyone. The annual "behind the scenes" weekend. Signal boxes, works and shed open for visits. Saturday only volunteer "jobs fair" at Kidderminster with DMU shuttle to the carriage shed and loco 4566 on display at Kidderminster for footplate visits.
Intensive timetable "C" plus 1450 in Autotrain mode, on Saturday working Bewdley to Highley, and on Sunday from Kidderminster.
Saturday loco roster (subject to usual disclaimers) 2857 on CN1, ie first out of Bridgnorth. 7812 on CS1, first out of Kidderminster at 0955, CS2 is 4936, CS3 is 43106. 1501 working KDR- Bewdley on Saturday on "taster" footplate experience runs.

Brochure for the weekend can be downloaded from the SVR website.

You can even buy a "cream tea" on the 10-30 out of Kidderminster if you are so minded...!!

A "Gala" by any other name I suppose....

Thanks, you beat me to it! I was just logging on to clarify that.

Should be a good weekend, even the weather looks set fair.

    regards

A great day out. Trains nicely loaded and frequent. I arrived late morning, comfortably looked around Bridgnorth, shuttle to Bewdley, train to Highley and another to Bridgnorth. No rush and back at Kidderminster by 5. Slight disappointment the boiler shop was closed but hey. The MPD extended, with portakabins removed etc looks a lot more capable. With the sun out and the vegetation culled the railway looked in the best shape I have seen it.
