I know we're not allowed to say anything detrimental about SR, but 2 issues ago they used one of my pictures (Talyllyn Railway No 2 at Dolgoch) which they've had since 1994.

I've emailed them 3 times asking for the return of the slide and the cheque! - but no response.

    Anyone any suggestions?

Even if the Royal Mail were not on strike and delivered it, I doubt SR would reply!

I've got a load of things to sell on Ebay, but seems little point putting them up whilst the post is in such a mess.

Given you post says it was posted three days ago, then as today is Tuesday that would mean it was posted on Saturday, hence my comment

He was referring to his phone call, as quoted in your original reply.

I know, he posted on a Saturday that he had phoned them that afternoon - i/.e on a saturday afternoon.

Presumably he meant to say he had phoned them the day before but he didn't he said that afternoon, which was a Saturday.

Try and keep up at the back.

Not according to the date and time stamp that appeared on your original post.

All a bit academic now as this new software seems not to display such info any more.

Just a quick response to say that we do pay for any photographs we print and we do return photographs on request - although this might take time due to the size of our archive and the pressures of producing the magazine. I have PM'd both Michaelh and Riley's Ghost asking them to contact me personally at danny.hopkins@bauermedia.co.uk so I can deal with the matters they raise.

As a matter of record I am not aware of any emails sent by Michael after the use of his photograph in the magazine and I am not aware of any outstanding slide request. If Michael contacts me with his details I can fast track his payment which I believe is £25, and return his slide. If the friend of Riley's Ghost does the same I can deal with that as well.

So tiresome that you cannot be bothered to read the actual postings.
No wonder this forum is dying.
