Does anyone in here know anything about the BR type steam heat drip valves fitted to the ends of the hoses. Its the type that screws into the hose coupling body, with four holes in the bottom with an adjusting stud and locknut.

Ours blows by permanently when connected and in use and I'm not sure how to adjust it.
When I undo the lock nut and slacken the stud a little, the innards seem free enough on the spring, but how do they need to be adjusted to make them work correctly? Annoyingly, the one in our front hose is the GW type and that one works perfectly!!

Didn't know if it was worth asking in the carriage section as the fitting is the same.
