Looks like this one will be diesel free and Sapperton both ways so I have made my first booking with Steam Dreams for a number of years

We are also in J. Even if wrong side for mileposts should be ok after Kemble as that excursion is full. Sapperton twice in less than a week!

Just what we thought. A pity some of the important posts are missing on the Stroud side.

Right, after my brush with colon cancer forced a temporary absence*,we are back trackside on this lovely sunny day. Once they get the engineers train out the way we have 44871 powering up the hill into Virginia Water.

*I warned you about those Spoons full english's but did I heed my own advice? clearly not.

Going very well at Coates, just now, on the run from Kemble. Should be very nice at Frampton Mansell tonight! I must also comment on the stellar bit of clearance work done here by Network Rail. It hasn't looked this clear for years!

Utterly stunning run up Sapperton Bank this evening! Now, time for a southbound dash to try and beat her to Bourton.
