There are still places available for the Foxfield Railway Driver Experience day this coming Saturday 11th July.

It is a full day starting at 9.30am (or earlier if you are feeling enthusiastic) and will give two full round trips on the footplate, one acting as fireman and one as driver. There are 4 round trips in total during the day and the victims... sorry I mean candidates, change over after each trip so you will do one on the loco then swap for either the cushions or a tour round Caverswall Road station, including the signal box. The price for the day includes a cooked breakfast and lunch for the candidates.

The roster loco is ex-Cannock Colliery Austerity 'Wimblebury' and you will be able to experience the 1 in 35 gradients and tight curves of this truly rural railway.
