VCT is delighted to announce that our historic Manning, Wardle class L 0-6-0ST "SIR BERKELEY" will be spending most of the Summer & Autumn 2011 at Locomotion, Shildon.

The loco will see service throughout the year at various events and VCT is very grateful to our friends at Middleton Railway for releasing the loco for the Summer season.

Full details of the loco's programmed steamings will be released by Locomotion as they occur.

"SIR B" is the second Class L to visit Shildon, "MATTHEW MURRAY", also at Middleton, visited there in 2004 and proved popular with visitors & crews alike. We are sure that SIR B, with the opportunity to see the footplate crew at work, will porove just as popular!
