That side view does show it to be a chunky "Beast"!
But I think Gav106 is a bit pessimistic - Top Front of Smokebox, Wedgeshape Front of cab, lower side sheets, additional tender tank top...and boiler casing - expensive certainly but on top of the £2m, around 10%(?) and the marketing/publicity value for the "Mini A4".....
But first, lets get the B17 built!

Slightly off topic I would like to see the F5 with a detachable armour and an armoured train in tow, because you’d make a killing at the war on the line events.

Although the majority of the chassis of River Mite already existed as the steam tender chassis from River Esk. Is there a history of the constuction of River Mite anywhere? I remember seeing it in Clarksons works in 1966. It was much larger than most of the jobs the took on.

If I remember rightly, at one time there was a OO maker who produced a resin loco and tender bodies that could be fitted to a Hornby B17. The older rather than current model.

This project seems to have gone quiet recently and the website does not have much information after March 2019.....

So? Sometimes a lot goes on in the background without regular updates. As is the case with many groups in preservation.

Better to put a comment like that on the website then. If people see no updates, they might assume the project has been abandoned and stop any regular donations or planned future donations.
