Timings now available for this trip with 60009

Going to be a busy day here in Worcester as stage 4 of the OVO Energy Women's Cycle Tour is due to finish in the city at around 2pm. If you go down to the riverside by the railway arches in the afternoon you can watch all the cyclists crossing the finishing line, followed just after 3pm by the sight of the A4 and support coach shuttling back and forth across the viaduct for the turning move.

Will the A4 be available next week?

Should be. The latest SR quotes John Cameron as saying it's going to Worcester on 16th June

From a Steam Dreams email about their Thursday Cardiff trip, so not sure it will make this just two days later, but might.
Following our earlier email to you today – we have just been informed by the custodians of A4 60009 Union of South Africa that due to last minute complications ‘No.9’ will just miss our trip to Cardiff next week.

60009 according to this post on Facebook. Wait and see what turns up I guess :)

‘We are pleased to announce that Number 9 has passed it's boiler exams and is now able to resume main line operation and will be working on the East Lancs Railway this weekend.
Due to issues out of our control 9 will not be moving to Southall until the 13th of June and will not be hauling the trip to Cardiff on the 14th, this trip now being covered by 45212.
9 will resume it's main line career on the 16th of June hauling the trip to Worcester.
The visit to the mid Norfolk Railway has been postponed until a later date.
Thanking everyone for there continued interest in Number 9.’

Doesn't mean it will be used though. This is No. 9s first main line trip for a while. Will it be trusted? Will we know in advance?

But will it be DL free? Are you on it Shireman? If so then then I might book as you don't do DLs do you?

Booked it a while ago. Trying to find out about possibility of tailgunner. If I can't and one is on rear on Saturday we'll go home.

Perhaps you could offer your unwanted tickets to someone who would like to travel behind No 9 and who is not bothered about a diesel on the back.

Are we absolutely sure that 60009 is going to be working this train? Despite the note on Facebook saying it's moving to Southall today I can't see any movements on RTT that suggest a path for it.

I'd like to see if I can get a last minute ticket for this one but if it's 45212 with diesel assistance I'm not so interested. Any news anyone?

Yes I am an active volunteer
I heard a chime whistle about half an hour ago from my office window (in Bury), so she's definitely doing something this morning...
and there's this on RTT http://www.realtimetrains.co.uk/train/O08493/2018/06/13/advanced

Thanks - that seems to have appeared on RTT since I looked earlier. Sounds promising

Notice it went to Southall LSL on that RTT link, do WCRC now not have the Southall base any more as hinted at previously?
