Could be tempted to drive down the road. Last year event wasn't bad, and is decent value for money.

I'll almost certainly turn out as it's only a short journey for me, and, as lil Bear says, it is good value for money, and they are all extremely friendly. Never seen F R 20 running so that will be a bonus.

I wonder if it will still be on site when Tornado's there in May? The oldest and youngest side by side would be a good photo opportunity

It is possible that John Howe, D9539 & the 05 Diesel will be available at the Gala.

Watch our website Welcome to the Ribble Steam Railway for further updates & timetables.

Will check whether FR20 & Tornado are at Preston on the same dates.

Provisional timetable now on website, seems good value at £6 per head.

Unfortunately, Ab No6, 2261, will not be available at the Gala. Should be ok to enter traffic in May 2012.

FR20 is covering the April steamings

Thanks for the updates 3155 - much appreciated. A pity about the No 6, but it justifies another visit in a couple of months time, and a few more opportunities to view F. R. 20 in the meantime

Will the workshops be open? I am particularly thinking of the two track one east of the station.

    TIA

If any Nat Pres readers wish to view the Ribble Rail Shed (which is normally off limits), please Pm me & I will sort a guided tour.

Offer only open on the Saturday, as I am driving Walkden on the Sunday
