Well like it or not you,ve got to take your hat off them, organising this is a massive undertaking. And some through the Calder Valley again!

"Tornado" through Knaresborough, that should be interesting. (12.05.11)

Castle Gardens will certainly be busy that day! :photo:

That's an impressive list of tours by any stretch of the imagination and especially if you like Brits! Some bargains to be had there too and good to see some work for Kinlet Hall & Nunney Castle. Well done RTC, just hope they can get bums on seats in what promises to be a challenging year. Certainly 46115 to Matlock and a Weymouth trip look likely to have my backing.

Another that has caught my eye

The Central Wales Explorer Saturday 21st May
Diesel from Paddington to Newport, Steam Newport - Shrewsbury . Diesel Shrewsbury - Paddington.

Have wanted to do this line, and starting from London, Well done.

Well done for announcing a full years tours earlier than usual - It makes planning the year ahead easier, and avoids transfers (This year transferred a Steam Dreams trip I was booked on, to a later one, so I could go on an RTC one).

I thought RTC weren't doing the Blaneau trips after this year. Wonder what change their minds?? Still though, interesting selection of tours there. Happy to see the Scarborough flyers, Cumbrian Mountain & North Wales Coast trips on the summer agenda. Should be another fantastic summer. :)

If 'decent weather' is 'hot and sunny for a prolonged period' I'd say its the last thing tour operators need! Rain at night and sun by day might be good :)

With the big players now having released their schedules early, maybe we can avoid clashes with popular enthusiast orientated tours being put forward for the same day, or perhaps that is wishful thinking!!

Good to see that they're retaining the Bath and Bristol trips though its changed to Three Bridges still go through Haywards Heath. May only see if 1 if Tangmere does appear on both trains.

Mr Dobbing was heard to remark quite recently he would never go to this Scottish destination again. However, here we go again, this time with more meat up front. TF I bet you've already booked on this!

I see he's using a picture of Steam Dreams' 2010 Cornish Riviera Express to promote his Weymouth Seaside Express. Cheeky so-and-so.

Yes, I agree with most of the posters here, some very good tours, with at least four catching my eye. Despite what has previously been said, well done RTC for the variety of tours available in 2011, and for scooping those trips from St. Pancras. I shall certainly be putting up some of my hard-earned Christmas wages for some of those! ;)

As our anniversary is 12th September, I'm hoping to persuade my wife Pat to spend it on the West Highland Steam Express. Preferably without last year's dramas but hey-ho, dramas can be fun too :)

The double header Dartmouth Express to Kingswear looks nice, though the weather can be a bit iffy in mid-October, 4 hours in a Torquay ice-cream parlour sheltering from the rain and wind could be a bit much...... maybe go for The Cornishman instead, that looks like a very good trip!

let's hope they are trying to be to optimistic and don't have to cancell any trips at the last minute (aka mel chamberlain)
