OK, so I am dreaming here, but, as 5029 is on the P&DSR at the moment, how about this for pie-in-the-sky idea?

5029 runs-in on the P&DSR service trains after repairs.
She stays for the Heritage weekend (would draw extra interest)
Past Time organises a late spring TE on Sat 9th or Sun 10th May, using the standard TE timings - diesel [Western Champion?] BTM-KGW, 5029 KGW-BTM -would bring further visitors (and a Western!) to the P&DSR heritage w/e and makes use of what would otherwise be a LE move for getting 5029 'back home'

OK, so it depends on many factors
    is Nunney 'free' until May?
Can a railtour be organised and filled so quickly?

    - but, one can dream! :-k

If 5029 is available, PLEASE can someone arrange a trip over the Royal Albert Bridge.
Torbay expresses can and are happening all the time.
Thre will only be one 150th anniversary of the bridge opening

Early May !! That would put it in the right position to have taken on the, now cancelled, ROYAL ALBERT 150.
Maybe something could be ressurected so that this event is still celebreated, or possibly the Western down to Par and back to Newton Abbot Then 5029 back to Bristol.
All just dreams at the moment as of course its too early to know how long repairs are going to take.
I see a similar thought from IKB as I was posting this

Forgot about the Albert 150, but yes, that would be good too. Although, I would have: Western to N/A, 5029 put on the front. Off to Par (turn 5029) Return - otherwise we don't get steam over the bridge which seems pointless.

That's more or less what I had in mind.

All we need now is a tour operator to pick this up!!!

Please see below reply from RTC re running Royal Albert 150 with Nunney.

    At least we tried:

At the moment there are no plans to resurrect this trip. However should we decide to run it again we will advertise it on our website and throughout the brochures. Thank you for your comments, these will be taken into consideration.
