NYMR February Half-Term Services 2010

    Despite the ongoing excitement of the work on Bridge 30, and thanks to bank repairs near Newtondale Halt undertaken at the same time by the Railway's own PWay Gang, the NYMR will be running its half term services from tomorrow (13th) to 21st February and then Saturdays and Sundays to the grand re-opening hopefully on 27th March 2010.

    There will be one service between Whitby and Grosmont, which will run to Battersby on the Sundays, and another between Pickering and Goathland.

    The Whitby to Grosmont services will be in the hands of 30926 or 76079, whilst the steam loco at Pickering is 45212 assisted by diesels D5032 and D7628.

    The Sunday service is the first regular (i.e. weekly) steam service on the Esk Valley since the 1960s.
