    Good afternoon,

The NVR are holding their annual Mail by Rail weekend earlier than usual this year on 28th and 29th April.

This will see both one of the steam locos (likely to be 34081 or 5619) and newly arrived Class 46 Peak D182 on both passenger and TPO services.

Unlike other events, the TPO Experience on the NVR involves around 10 minutes travel on the TPO coaches themselves, followed by a number of run pasts.

More details can be found at

    http://www.nvr.org.uk/events/mail-rail-weekend

Edit: The timetable is TBC, however the current plan is for the steam loco to undertake 3 round passenger trips and 1 set of exchanges, whilst the Peak does 2 sets of exchanges and 1 round trip.

This was the video I filmed last year when the visiting Deltic was in charge

Well next month could be your ideal chance!

Each demonstration includes about 5 mins in the TPO each way, and then 3 run pasts to see the apparatus and train in action.

As a further update, the steam loco should be 92 Squadron

One further change to the event, the previously advertised Peak now won't be fixed in time for the event, so the class 31 will be fitting substitute.
