Looking forward to this steam gala as it will also be my 1st visit to the N.N.R. I've been to the Bure valley line at Aylsham and done a mainline tour to Great Yarmouth on 61306 but not as of yet visited one of east Anglia,s standard gauge heritage railways.

Unfortunately 9F has failed and won’t run today (Sunday).

The Ivatt takes on the 9F diagram, with 53809 taking on the Ivatts diagram

I visited on Friday, had a short ride from Weybourne to Holt and back but spent most of the time taking pictures making the most of the sunshine - which there was plenty of despite a snow shower and a hail storm! Everything ran to time, the timetable seemed to work well. I was able to make the connection at Holt to the next train departing by a few minutes by walking straight around. The highlight for me was probably the Y14 running with the vintage coaches, first time I had seen that.

I was there on Saturday. Great day out. Very good value for money for both the ticket (even better as a M&GNJRS member) and for the catering. As always the staff and volunteers were friendly and helpful. Special mention has to go to the C&W team. As can be seen in the pics the suburbans looked stunning freshly painted and the coaching stock in general was superbly turned out.

A few video clips from the recent Spring Steam Gala, featuring 41241, 53809, 90775, 92203, 564 and 76084.

Really enjoyable weekend, the coaching stock was a delight and lovely to see the railway trying something a little different with a mixed set.
