    Interesting news article that three cab side parts from NER ES1 locomotive 26501 (originally No 2) have been found in a pub garden in Choppington, where it was scrapped after a failed preservation attempt in the 1960's

    The other ES1, No 1, is of course preserved at NRM Shildon. Hopefully the cab sides will go to a good home
