Tyseley shoot is the 17th January

Boness dates are filling up nicely and this will be the Caley Tanks Farewell before overhaul . I'm not sure if any public running in Black is planned so the Charters may be your only chance

I believe that no public running of the engine in Black is planned, as after it's farewell public running on thr 4th January, there are no more operational dates until Late March/April, by that time she should be retired and prepped for overhaul.

The smokebox shedplate and numberplate arrived yesterday, will take them to Bo'ness on Saturday. It will be running under it's "66A" Polmadie guise

I'm looking to join Russ Hillier's 3-day charter at end of February as I remember 55189 when she worked the Caley suburbans to Leith North; any chance that 55189 will be appearing with a 64c shedplate as that is my memories of her at work.

Unless there is a 64C shedplate somewhere on the site or if one of the photo charter organisers bring there own, I cannot be sure. I only ordered a 66A shedplate as, from photographs we could find of her in British Railways lined black with lipped chimney, she was based at Polmadie. I would have ordered others, but again photographers may have complained that she was wearing a shedcode where she wore a rimless stovepipe chimney, and at great expense to myself.

Thanks for that Jonathan - I'm not such a purist that I want shed code to match chimney design; the sight of 55189 in lined BR black with 64c would have been enough. Pity the station at Leith North is now a warehouse - now that would be a location for a recreation especially with the Royal Yacht in the background.
