    Does anyone know which Black 5 is in the new Mr Holmes film?

    The film is set in the late 1940's when he's in his 90's

    Some station shots are clearly filmed at Horsted Keynes, but not sure where the others are filmed.

    Black 5 is 44767 on the North Norfolk Railway, filmed last Summer.

    They were filming with 178 at the Bluebell last July and I think the H class too (could have been the C)...

    Thought it was, only seen the trailer but thought there was a red name plate on the side. Thanks mate, curiosity settled :)

    Apologies, I saw the trailer the other day and didn't realise the period.

    Now with Testament of Youth they made a real effort with the trains - only spoilt by a long shot of a Black 5 with teaks on the NYMR.

    And its in BR Black, In 1947 wouldn't it have been in LMS Livery? Plus 4767 would have had a double chimney in 1947.....nit picking now ;)

    I thought they used 45428 at the Moors, in LMS livery and numbered 5428?
