Here is the voting for the 2010 National Preservation photo of the year . Each members name is listed and follow the link below to the website which showcases the images . Many thanks to all who have submitted images

    http://myweb.tiscali.co.uk/irtmainpage/np2010photo/NP2010Photos.html

There are some wonderful images in here .

Once we have a final 12 these will be judged by Chris Milner of Railway Magazine and the final 12 should also feature in a National Preservation Calendar

Unless it involves my own image.
I will make the call, depending on the photo and if indeed the photographer has voted for themselves or another photo.

Sorry to have to tell you this but, you have linked my photo to the wrong URL.

I corrected it in the thread to link to my Flickr site: http://www.flickr.com/photos/graham_williams/5242168684/sizes/l/in/set-72157625568759200/

The Flickr photo is very slightly different and it is shown in much better resolution and size than on Fotopic. (The resolution on that site is really dreadful - Why pay alll that money for expensive lenses, only for Fotopic to fuzzy them up?)

Can you please arrange for the correct link please?

There are quite a few there that I like and it's difficult to choose just one out of 42. It may been better to of had the option to vote for more than one, say 12 as that's how many we're selecting. Better still perhaps to award points instead. As we're selecting 12, it could of been 12 points for your first choice, 11 for your second etc.

Could the voting not be multi option with people selecting ten, perhaps? I doubt there will be enough voters for 12 photos to all receive multiple votes...

I'm chuffed, someone has voted for mine, and no it wasn't me...

I'm sure that there would be some way that we could have a small run and publish them all in a small booklet. I will look into it and get some prices for printing.

As an idea how about we compile them into a book . One via blurb , 40 Pages costs £8.95 . We could add a premium for preservation ? I'm happy to compile if enough of you are interested

    Hello,
Can I just add that the photo shown in the list under FlyingScotsman4472 is not the one that I decided to select for the voting. My chosen photo is

    http://www.flickr.com/photos/10257146@N05/5234543049/

Sorry for the correction but it would be appreciated if the photo could be changed thanks.

    Simon.
