MOD Bicester – COVES – German coach

    In the latest Heritage Railway on p20 the article about the COVES group at MOD Bicester mentions a German ambulance coach but gives no number. The UKPRSL website lists this coach :- http://www.ukprsl.uk/final-results.asp?action=display&Id=37408

    but this is listed as being at the Army Medical Services Museum in Mytchett, Surrey. Is it the same coach? If so the article is incorrect about the roller end doors and centre doors for casualties as the coach was built like that.

    Yes, the carriage and Beverley were sold privaly I recall, and the buyer died sadly not long after - there was a further sale but I dont know where the carriae is now.
    The Keogh Barracks cairage is the one noew at Bicester, I think it spent some time at the now closed and cleared Finmeer site.
