37099 will be replacing 37901 as a MHR resident following the gala. :)

The link also states the possibility of another visitor. As the line up is predominently EE based, could it be a 20 or will there be some redress and a Sulzer will be added? Whatever is added, the 40 will be the biggest draw for me. (Unless 25067 pops back for a visit!;))

Has there been any word on the "one other visiting engine is expected to be confirmed imminently" (quote from the Mid Hants Diesel Gala page).
    Looking forward to this event
    :)

This was taken from WRGEN's Facebook group:

"Quick MHR diesel gala update as posted to wnxx.

Delighted to be able to announce that the owners of 31 466 have also accepted our invitation....so we are now expecting to be able to run...."

Excellent, thanks. Odd that there wasn't anything on Lion's FB page about it, isn't it.
Think I'll be there for all 3 days.

Mid Hants Autumn Diesel Gala diagrams have been posted on the 50027 FB page.
I've copied the links here for those who don't/won't do FB.

    http://www.pleg.org.uk/files_ln/MHRsat.pdf

    These could still change.

Official timetable also reproduced here, sans loco allocations at this time.

Late running on Saturday night until just after 10 for the final light engine moves.

Long range weater forecast is looking good too, should be a good weekend.

Indeed, behind the 50, not really in a spot that allowed for photography, but looking very tidy.

A notification has been made by the CFPS that 40145 will no longer be attending the gala.

    *** 2 September 2014 - Breaking News ***
SORRY TO REPORT that we have just been informed that 345 will NOT be able to attend The MID HANTS GALA due to gauging issues.
The problem appears to be a restriction in ALDERSHOT Tunnel.
As I send this message, WCRC are making urgent arrangements to send a WCRC loco to The ELR tomorrow morning to undertake the transit move of the 3 other visiting locos.
The WCRC loco will ONLY take the Convoy to The Mid Hants and there are NO plans are for it to attend the Mid Hants Gala.
The WCRC loco is likely to go LD to Southall after dropping off the Convoy at Mid Hants Railway.
Truly Sorry for those people who have booked accommodation and Rail Tickets.
I am sure you will understand that the situation is entirely outside the control of The CFPS.
Thank you for your understanding and once again my sympathies to everyone else affected by this breaking news.
    Regards
    John Stephens - CFPS Chairman

Personally, very disappointed but nothing to do with the MHR or CFPS or anything they could have done to prevent it. Hopefully 37901 will be allowed out more on Saturday considering it's its last gala before leaving the line.

Unless the 40 has grown in size or the tunnel has shrunk, I really would have thought this could have been identified a bit sooner.

There is a move from the Midland railway centre Butterley to Alton today due to arrive at Alton at 17.30. Is this the diesel convoy?
