Back in the late 80s ish the Royal Mail museum. then at St Pauls, open up the Mail Rail during an open day. I and many others had the opportunity to ride the passenger car for a short run. Memory getting dim so cant remember where we went but it made for an "interesting" ride.

It is a pity mail no longer travels by rail as that was the reason for having the railway connecting main line stations with the RM sorting offices. I remember seeing shutes on one platform at Liverpool St down which mailbags wer dropped to feed the Mail Rail.
