Now that Ivatt 2-6-2T 41298 has been steamed for the first time in preservation are there any other locos bought directly from BR for preservation (excluding those owned by NRM) that are yet to be steamed?

The Terrier "Waddon", in Canada (and the two north American A4s, for that matter).

The web site says the boiler inspector is coming today - I expect he'll want some steam.

Not steam I know but DP1 'Deltic' has never run after donation in 1963 to the Science Museum (NMSI) of which the NRM is now part.

Could DP1 ever run again? Think theres a few of us wouldnt mind seeing that in action could be confusing for the driver tho power and brake handles are on opposite sides to production Deltics!

didn't the DPS investigate this a few years ago, but concluded that the combination of parts stripping and non-conformity made it unviable ?

i heard a suggestion elsewhere, that stripping a class 91 and using it to make the APT operational might be easier than getting deltic to run again.

68078, 47445, (both of which were NCB locos after BR)

I gather its also out of gauge, and missing some fairly major components.

Probably easier for someone to repaint an existing class 55 in those colours, temporarily weld over the headcode box, stick the headlamp on the front and run it like that

Last I heard the engine(s) was missing some major parts, though I wouldn't hold me to that
