As far as I am aware the second loco has been asked about already.

But the chairman of our locomotive society is a fan of all things standard, (been caretaker of 75078) and has asked for 73129 before.

Hence my question about it on its thread.

Oh no! It looks like we're going to have yet another gala thread where any snippets of useful information (such as Kieran's original posting) get lost in a flood of waffle.

WOW :smt041 70013 on the Worth Valley. That is well worth a visit. Won't be doing what I did for the two steam galas I've attended this year and that's stay for the whole event but will defo have to make a day visit or two???

Great news about 70013. 73129 needs new tyres and I would say that it could be dodgy for it to run on a railway like the KWVR or the ELR due to the inclines at Keighley and Bury respectively. A tyre could move due to the heat generated by the heavy braking required on these inclines.

I believe Scots Guardsman went straight from BR to Haworth so why not ask for SG to be at the gala? It would be appropriate that its first visit to a gala should be on the KWVR.

  16. Because 6115 was only there as a loco it never hauled passenger train and it is far to heavy for the axel weight imposed up on us Indeed i dont think she ran under her own power if i recall
