I think it is being run by UK Railtours as they have the King booked for that day

Not via the Met/GCJ but via the GWR Paddington-Birmingham Main Line, part of which was GW/GC joint.
It is a special train to celebrate the 80th birthday of 6024.

Run by 6024 Pres Society but bookings through UK Railtours was the last I heard. Similar to how 6024 used to use Past-Time as booking agents.

It is a special for the 6024 society which was mentioned in the latest Kings Messenger mag. I was looking forward to this but now it looks like it won't be picking up at Reading on the outward run. Bu**er!
