The Ivatt has been withdrawn from today's timetable due to 'unforeseen circumstances' but is in light steam in the down platform according to the railway's website and social media this morning. Austin No. 1 deputising. No doubt a disappointment for all involved but hopefully the last few days have paid off.

Sad to hear of the failure of 41312. The loco had performed really well over the three days up until news of the broken spring emerged

I spent the day at the railway yesterday and was very pleased to see so many people travelling. The staff were extremely polite and helpful with our enquiries.

It has recently been announced that 9F 92207 will be based at MSN for further restoration. Hopefully that will bring more interest to the railway and visitor numbers.

Thanks to the railway for making our day so enjoyable. [BJ]

I went yesterday (Sat 17th) I would have hoped for better numbers but it was rather nice

On the first departure yesterday one half of my coach was reserved for passengers to sit and enjoy their snacks from the buffet. It soon became apparent that there wouldn't be enough seats on the train. The tables were quickly cleared for the unexpected number of passengers to sit and enjoy their journey. [BJ]
