IOW Steam Railway 40th anniversary 2011

2011 marks the 40th anniversary of the Isle of Wight Steam Railway re-opening its line at Havenstreet and it is planning a very full year-long programme of events to celebrate, so get the dates in your diary now. The programme is still at draft stage - items in [square brackets] mean that dates, events or details have still to be confirmed.

23 January: recreation of the last train to leave Newport in 1971 - walk from Newport to Wootton (mostly on trackbed) then special train from Wootton to Havenstreet.
