Internal corrosion coating for tenders/ water tanks

    Can the internal surfaces be coated to reduce corrosion or are they just left as mild steel?
    I assume any coating would have to be suitable for treated as well as raw water and not flake off or react if residues got into the boiler.

    The best products to use are two pack epoxy coatings, although the steel needs to be clean & free of any rust/scale. These products are normally sprayed in several applications, primer & two top coats.

    Bloke over the road supplies a glass based product, used in north Sea for piping, probably ideal for tank use.
