I believe , though not confirmed, that GWR 813 has been removed from the trains published due to damage that could be caused to the locomotive due to the tight curves on the Railway. The Charter on Wednesday 7 November has been canceled. Will try to get conformation on this

    Thanks

Oops, that's a bit embarrassing! I'm nipping up there on Monday for some HBRSF related things so will try and find out more.

Oooooppppps, a bit of an understatement! Thanks Alex.....will have to wait and see what is going down. I have no idea what HBRSF stands for......... As long as it is not lethal then have fun!

Spoke to someone there today, confirmed that 813 won't be running for fear of damaging the loco. The Peckett they've run in the past has a larger wheelbase and is heavier, but I get the impression it wasn't as taut as 813! I didn't ask but presumably they'll have to use the steam sentinel now. Had a look over the NER autocoach which is very nice though, just needs a signwriter to finish it off... :)

I feel sorry for the guys at Elsecar. They seem to be a fine bunch, doing a good job with their line. I can only presume that an 0-4-0 is more suited.
